The inspiration behind this shoot comes to designer Scent of Orchid from imagining a bride that would be glam with a retro mood, modern even with a vintage touch. I chose especially the twilight and night hours to add spell to these shots.
Set on the shores of Lake Como, perfect backdrop for a chic bride, it was chosen Villa Monastero in Varenna, an ancient lakeside building surrounded by its elegant gardens.
For this Wedding Jazz Gala, the bride chooses twenties-inspired dresses and gloves by London- based designer Eliza Jane Howell, combined with the retro flavor clutch and charming shoes created by Emmy London for the bride who pays attention to detail. To add magic to outfit the headpieces of the super gifted Jannie Baltzer, who creates each piece handmade with passion and tasteful.
Looks were made just perfect by the great hair and makeup artist Sandra Lovisco that emphasized the oriental features of the beautiful bride with a touch of red on the lips and a soft and not too structured bob hairstyle.
Talented flower designer Caterina Maurini created details and bouquets to perfect match every outfit using a mix of lush white garden roses and natural appearance foliage to create a very unique frame for the bride.
To complete the perfect Jazz Gala atmosphere, luxurious invitations and stationery created by the Italian graphic designer Effimero Creativity Lab, a gramophone and the romantic venetian taxi boat by Lake Como Boats.
We kept to a very basic but chic color palette, leaving the luxury set and dresses to be main characters.
