In Iceland, a country of glaciers, snowfields and waterfalls, beauty is everywhere. I went to Iceland to shoot the wedding of Cassandra and David. Since the first moment I just knew I had to capture its lunar and strange beauty. The images speak by themselves with Iceland’s own personality. (shot on Contax with Portra film 400 – developed by RPL)
Defying the temperatures, we found the perfect location. In the Reykjanesfólkvangur Nature preserve and not very accessible, this landscape made me feel as if I was on the moon. The strange lava formations, the incredible combination of colours of the crater lakes, and the breadth of the field made us all realise the powers of this breathtaking nature.

The dresses of LOVE LOU were the perfect match for this session. Their dresses are designed with the woman as inspiration. We love her timeless designs which make women look beautiful from evening dress to wedding dress. We are currently also collaborating on a new exiting project. But we can’t tell you more yet…

I love the contrast between the raw nature and the clean, classic, simple, and elegant style of the Love Lou dresses. The images express femininity and naturalness.
Iceland stole my heart with its raw beautiful nature. I’m looking forward to experience this stunning country again soon.
