Sandra Åberg is a photographer, storyteller, and mother who believes in raising children who feel connected to the world around them.

The Great Plastic Ocean Adventure was created together with her son Elias and bonus children Alfie and Angelica - inspired by their questions, ideas, and courage. The watercolor illustrations are based on Sandra’s photography and shaped by the children’s own stories and imagination.

This book was born from a shared love of the ocean and a belief that even small hands can create meaningful change.
